From sitting on our laps to running laps for them.
In the heartwarming world of pet adoptions, people often look for the young ones, and overlook the soulful eyes of our senior rescues and the resilient spirits of those with disabilities.
Behind their graying fur and unique quirks, they have their own stories to tell. By welcoming seniors and those with special needs, you open your home to a life-long companion who teaches you the art of patience, peacefulness, and unconditional affection. Their gratitude for a second chance and home fills one’s life with unparalleled joy. Every wag, purr, and gentle nuzzle becomes a testament to the beauty of connection formed when we look beyond them and choose to cherish their lives.
Run for the oldies and those with disabilities.
If they can’t, we can. For them.
“We’re all in a battle for survival, and the senior rescues and the ones with disabilities battle twice as all of us who have a voice. I think they deserve this spotlight and that they are motivation enough not just to finish this run but really face life in general with so much hope and optimism. Through the funds raised from the run, we would be able to provide them a better chance in life and oftentimes, that chance will always be more than enough for them.” – Malou Perez, Founder of Pawssion Project
The race is a fundraising activity to cover the medications, maintenance, rehabilitation, and other projects that we have in store for the seniors and those with disabilities to spotlight their wellness and being.
On this momentous virtual run, we lace up our shoes, run, walk, or roll to show our love and appreciation for them – and to also raise awareness for their situation. Whatever they are – they deserve all the love that we can give.
One run can change a life.
Imagine the difference we can make when we all run together.
