My Story:
Tom was reported to us by his owners because he has not been eating well in almost a week already. Based on his photos, we feared the worst…and true enough, he tested positive for Distemper and Ehrlichia. 💔
Distemper is one of the most difficult viral diseases to battle. It has NO CURE, is very contagious and acts swiftly with no warning. It is up to the dog’s immune system to fight off the infection, and what furparents can only do is provide supportive treatment such as immunoboosters, vitamins, IV therapy, and antibiotics.
As of now, he is discharged from the vet after 10 days of confinement and is still undergoing treatment by the care of his owner. Honestly speaking, Tom’s owner could not really handle all of his vet bills and medications as she is unemployed too. She just did all that she can to help Tom get treated.
Tom was such a healthy dog and is loved so much by his owners. He is a FIGHTER so let’s help Tom get back on his feet! 💪🏻
