My Story:
As you all know, we had very high hopes for Lyka to walk again. She has undergone several laser therapy sessions already, as well as chemo sessions in the past. When Xrays were done and as she progressed on her laser therapy session, we were so heartbroken to know that her cancer has become very aggressive that her bones on her hind legs are going to be affected if they wont be amputated. Her case is very complicated because we are working on her spinal injury, her surgery, and cancer. She is also resistant to a number of antibiotics as well.
But she has been so cooperative and like what doc Zander said, and also what we all felt and have seen, SHE IS REALLY FIGHTING.
She will be undergoing double amputation tomorrow but most recent CBC showed low RBC so we would need her to undergo blood transfusion first. Surgery needs to be done asap to prevent the spread of the cancer cells so blood transfusion should also be done ASAP.
Next option if we cannot get a blood donor cleared for Lyka is to buy a bag of blood for ₱8,000-10,000. Donations for her surgery and vet care would also be appreciated.
