My Story:

Lolo Vermi is finally rescued!🙏🏼

We know so many of you were up with us following the rescue of this senior dog, another hit and run victim in Cavite, found by our volunteer Abby’s officemate last night. It was already late at night when we got the report, and despite our rescue operations put on hold, it was so hard to turn a blind eye on him. We posted on our social media accounts the dog’s condition with high hopes that we may find people who can help us secure the dog. Less than 30 minutes of posting and one of our followers Migs, who just got home and was just about to have dinner, went to the location to help us find the dog. We immediately created a group chat for easier coordination and we are so glad that another advocate and follower of us, Zai, commented on our Facebook post. Abby coordinated with Zai so we can grab express food and leash to Migs who was already onsite and found the dog after a few minutes of going around the location! But God is always good, Zai did not just send the leash and food while awaiting for our team who came all the way from Caloocan, but she went back herself to help secure the dog.

As per the guards in the area, poor lolo Vermi got hit by a car last month and he has gotten no help at all. He survives through scrap food being given to him and would stay there despite other people hurting him. They said he would snap once in a while but really, he wholeheartedly volunteered himself for rescue last night 🥺

After an hour and 30minutes of travel, the team arrived with doc Anju and thankfully, Lolo Vermi tested negative from distemper!! He is a survivor distemper thus the twitching. He was brought straight to our HQ and is scheduled for bloodtest and Xray today.

So grateful to our volunteer Abby for donating for lolo Vermi’s initial vettings. Indeed, there’s so much more that we can do if we all work together for the voiceless!! Thank you so much Zai, Migs, Abby and the team for last night.

Compassion put into action is always what does the work!
